Instructions
- Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure even browning. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in your skillet over medium-high heat. Once melted and hot, add the chicken breasts. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on one side without moving them to develop a golden brown crust. Flip the chicken over and cook an additional 5 minutes on the other side.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Push the chicken to the side of the skillet and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. - Allow the chicken to simmer in the garlic butter sauce for another 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). If the sauce reduces too quickly, add a splash more chicken broth or water. Spoon the sauce over the chicken frequently.
- Once cooked through, remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the chicken. Optionally sprinkle a pinch of red pepper flakes. Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, rice pilaf, or a crisp side salad.
